Following the restoration of St. Theodore's church the Parochial Church Council decided to make the provision of a purpose designed and built children and youth facility its next major project so that the needs of the parish's children and youth groups could be met.

The plans for this exciting new build were developed between the PCC and Gordon Clarke Architects and received planning permission from Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council in September 2002. The costs of demolition of the old garage (on land adjoining the St. Theodore's car park) and building the hall as was £335,000.

In February 2006 that sum was secured through parish donations, fund raising and grants from various bodies. Work commenced on the project build on 2nd May 2006 and the Youth Hall was formally opened by the Most Rev'd. Dr. Barry C. Morgan, Archbishop of Wales on 17th December 2007.

The Youth Hall now houses the St. Theodore's Rainbows, Brownies, Guides, Beavers, Cubs and Scouts. Other children and youth groups also use the hall as the venue for their meetings.

A Conference Centre is also part of this complex providing a spacious and welcoming environment for many different groups and organisations to hold their training events and away days with on site Coffee Shop, bar and catering facilities available to suit various needs.
